Best Buy allows returns within 15 days of purchase for most items. Items must be in original packaging, and a 15 percent restocking fee applies to most returns. You can return items in store, by mail with free shipping, or at an authorized carrier drop-off location.
How returns work
You have three options to return items. You can bring the item to any Best Buy store with your packing slip or receipt. You can also return by mail using a free prepaid FedEx label that you print from your Best Buy account after logging in. Alternatively, you can drop off your prepaid package at an authorized carrier location. In all cases, the item must include its original contents and packaging.
Exclusions and restrictions
Best Buy does not accept returns on custom orders, personalized orders, non-subscription digital content, codes, prepaid cards, vehicle key fobs, memberships, trading cards, products with 300 or more watt hour capacity, golf carts, utility terrain vehicles, electric bikes, electric mopeds, and plumbing items. Additionally, certain items are non-returnable once opened, including products that interact with bodily fluids, SIM kits, LEGO products, completed services, delivered standby generators, delivered whole home backup systems, and consumable items. If you paid with a Best Buy Gift Card, a new gift card or e-Gift Card will be issued.
